Week 2- NHL Fantasy

Don't panic yet. Ryan Kesler isn't exactly working all angles, nor is Tomas Holmstrom and other key players. But consider the long haul. Only entering into Week 2 of the season, some players are still getting their ice legs. If you must put some players to rest then do it with no regret. Here are some guys who have stepped it up early:

Derek Roy (C) Buffalo Sabres-
Didn't perform as well last year, yet he's started out of the gate well. Though he's 88% owned in Yahoo leagues, a trade or an opportune drop by another team may put him on your roster. Keep a very close eye.

Jarret Stoll (C) Los Angeles Kings
- This team is looking tough and Stoll is no exception. He's hustling and clicks well with his mates. He's only 12% owned in Yahoo leagues despite his notches in a majority of categories. Look him up.

Todd Bertuzzi RW) Detroit Red Wings-
Stepping up now that he's working well with Filppula. While his stats don't register as big as some rosters need, he's 35% owned and likely on some watch lists. Bertuzzi is an option if one of your right-hand men goes down. Watch list potential if you are a Wings fan and your'e not an Avalanche fan.

Steve Sullivan (LW) Nashville Predators- Coming off of rehab year, Sullivan struck out like a Cobra. Sitting on top of goal stats, he's hard to ignore. Nashville has assembled a strong team and Sullivan is a veteran who will make an impact. If this position is weak, see if Sullivan is free to join your team.

Clarke MacArthur(LW) Toronto Maple Leafs
- Making the move to the Leafs looks good on Clarke who already has 5 goals in 4 games. Some critics point to him as a high reason behind the Leafs success, others think he's a flash-in-the-pan. You decide. Draft if you want to take the chance. Don't moan and groan if you passed.

John-Michael Liles (D) Colorado Avalanche
- Ending last season with a burst of scoring, Liles had an overall rough year. But with 6 assists so far, why not add him if your D is weak? With a solid 67% ownership, he may still be a free-agent.

Brent Johnson (G) Pittsburgh Penguins
- Odd choice, right? Not when starter Fleury is struggling. Johnson got the nod against the Islander then won. He started against the Flyers with a win. The Back-up for now, maybe, but if he performs and wins expect starts. Good choice if in need of another goalie.

Trash talk in your league may already be harsh without regard to limited stats and minimal games for some teams. Turn the cheek and proceed forward with your plan. This season's ride could be bumpy, but aren't they all? Take your nausea meds, strap in and ride your team like a roller coaster.
