Vikings Taking a Chance on Jenkins
Written by Jared Osbeck, Sunday July 31 2011

According to the MInneapolis Star Tribune, the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with ex-Atlanta Falcons WR Michael Jenkins. Jenkins, who has averaged 500 yds per season, will set the tone for the Vikings RedZone offense in the 2011-2012 season.
When Minnesota lost their star WR Sidney Rice to Seattle, they had to act fast on a big man to fill up the much need WR position. Although Jenkins might have been their No.1 choice, he will fill empty slot which helped Minnesota in their run to the NFC Championship in '09.
After the 135 day lockout, and NFL resumed, free agency came upon as NFL teams were searching for their next star player. So when in need of a WR quickly, also with teams acting fast, Minnesota hoped on the first chance to sign Michael Jenkins.
