Vick Returns To Prison
Written by Chriso, Tuesday March 22 2011
Michael Vick went back to prison over the weekend. Only this time, he was free of shackles and left the same day. At the request of Tony Dungy, Vick met with several hundred inmates in Florida. Dungy often visits prisons with a spiritual message.
Vick has been criticized by some since his release. White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle admitted that he was hoping Vick would get hurt during the season. Vick also came close to getting into trouble during his 30th birthday party in Virginia Beach.
Still, the return to prison was something that might be inspirational to a number of the inmates he visited. Even someone as talented as Vick has struggled to be accepted as he returns to society. And it is doubtful any of those who heard him speak will be an MVP candidate in the NFL anytime soon. Hopefully Vick can serve as an example that these other inmates can return to society and be productive in their own way.
