UFC 95 Betting – Stevenson Looks To Finally Win The Big One

Here's a brief betting preview for the main event of UFC 95.

“Big Daddy” Joe Stevenson was a No. 1 contender at one point but now there are question marks. A lot of people who are doing their UFC 95 picks aren’t sure whether to give him another chance or to expect him to get pummeled once again like he did against B.J. Penn and Kenny Florian.

On one hand, fans are quick to right off Stevenson because of his two losses in 2008. On the other hand, it’s not like he lost to Krusty the Clown. He lost to Penn and Florian, who are two of the best in their division. It’s hard not to be tempted with Stevenson, who is a big underdog in his fight against Sanchez according to UFC 95 odds.

Sanchez has the better skill set, but not by a lot. And the main problem for him is that he is moving down a weight class. Sometimes when a fighter moves down, it actually slows him down mentally since he’s not used to the new weight and it will definitely take away from his power.

Both of these guys are winners of the “Ultimate Fighter” but Stevenson is a bit more experienced. Look for that to be the difference in a very tight contest.

Considering most people believe this fight to be a coin flip, it’s hard not to like Stevenson on the UFC 95 lines at +250.
