SuperPest Sean Avery
Written by Captain, Tuesday March 16 2010
Sean Avery gets more recognition for his internship at Vogue and his ability to get under his opponents skin than his skill. He makes a living out of running his mouth and getting players off their game's. His job is accomplished by drawing penalties and making skill players focus more on him then on the game. He has done this to the best, from Illya Kovalchuk to Sidney Crosby. He loves to talk and he backs it up in any scrum.
Besides his trash talking, Sean boasts other skills and when he stays out of the penalty box he can score and he can make plays. Sean is an underrated playmaker and has above average speed. He uses his blazing speed to set up for a pretty good wrist shot and has the ability to find the open ice. He also can be used on the power play in front of the net. He can score a dangler's goal, a sniper's goal, and a grinder's goal.
He plays on the edge and knows when to cross it, but still struggles when not to cross it. But all in all he knows how to play his game. His game is very calculated, if you see Sean doing something to get the attention of his opposition, he knew exactly what he was doing and it was most certainly pre-meditated.

Avery doesn't hide behind anyone. He knows when not to fight to draw a penalty. He is not in any way a heavyweight. But he is very tough and fights for himself and his teammates. Avery knows his game and you hate him if he on the other team but love him if he is your #16

Child please. The guy is a coward who revels in taking cheap shots and then skating to the bench to hide behind some goon, who has to take a few punches for him. He turtled up when Dave Clarkson of the Devils challenged him. No place in hockey for weasels like Avery.

I do enjoy him being the pest that he is. I went from hating him to finding him downright hilarious. I may be his female counterpart.
