Stop the parade

     Don't spend the gas money on the trucks or blow up the balloons yet.   Nothing is guaranteed in sports.  Unless of course its fixed like wrestling or boxing.  Maybe, the NHL will give Detroit another day in the sun; a feel good moment for a city that is hurting.   A little odd that the NHL would post Detroit championship gear and a back to back championship t-shirt on the internet already.  Could this be the type of corruption that was mentioned in a previous article?   If it is legit, it's far from over. 

    


 

It has come down to a one game battle.  The Pens bounced back and have battled all season to get here.  Believe it, Crosby & Malkin aren't leading playoff scoring for nothing.  These two stars will shine brighter than ever.  This team will leave it all out on the ice.  The Penguins will beat all odds, they have been doing it all season.   They will be bringing the cup back to the  burgh.  

     We've had practice at throwing great parades.  We just had a Super Bowl parade for our world champion Steelers.  You are more than welcome to come visit Pittsburgh, recently listed as one of the most livable cities, and enjoy the parade.  You may have such a good time, you might consider staying???

   To quote the great Penguin radio announcer Mike Lange at the end of Game 6  "I'll meet you Friday in the schoolyard for all the marbles."
