Should the BIlls take a look at Levi Jones?
Written by Rick Rockwell, Thursday May 07 2009
The Cincinnati Bengals officially released their former first round pick, offensive tackle Levi Jones.
In this year's draft, the Bengals selected Alabama tackle Andre Smith with the 6th overall pick. It became clear after this selection that Levi Jones' days were numbered. In fact, Jones' agent, ken Zuckerman, reported that the Bengals approached him back in March about being traded or released.
Jones was drafted by the Bengals, in 2002, with the 10th overall selection. But leg and knee injuries have hampered Jones over the last few years.
The Buffalo Bills are reported as being one of a few teams that could land Jones. Perhaps, a change of scenery could get this talented tackle back on track. Alhough the Bills have instituted their plan for the offensive line, the front office is still committed to bringing in players who can make the team better.
IF the money is right, I say bring in Jones over the summer and see what he has left. He could become the starting left tackle or at the very least a great back-up.

It couldn't hurt to take a shot on Levi Jones. The talent has always been there, but with all of the injuries and with him being a lineman it will be tough for him to reach his potential again. But it can't be a bad thing to bring him in and take a look.
