Ricky vs. Manny. Round by Round.

Bryce Written by Bryce, Saturday May 02 2009

Action coverage of the much anticipated and hyped fight.

If the fans could win a boxing match for a fighter, the British fans would beat anyone on earth for their festive and jubilational support of Ricky Hatton. Manny Pacquiao walked out with WWE wrestler Battista, who is a total stud and part Filipino.

Round 1: Manny lands right hooks and has fast hands! Ricky gets knocked down twice!!!! Omg!

Ricky barely makes it to the bell.

Round 2: Straight left and Hatton down. KTFO! Get a stretcher.

Freddie Roach said it would end within three rounds.  It did in emphatic fashion. Freddie Roach's scounting and tape analysis is the best in the game. Freddie noticed on tape that Hatton was open to right hooks by Manny after Ricky throws his left. They were working on timing as Hatton threw and, after he launched his left.  Who's ever done it better?

"This is Freddie Roach's signature fight", said Emanuel Stewart. This could be the best executed game plane in the shortest span of time in all of boxing history. Total professionalism. So much respect must be given to this team by the entire boxing community.

You're right, Luke. What is there to really add? Mayweather vs. Marquez is coming up. Hopefully, Mayweather will prevail and then, we'll have a fight that fans will be clamoring for. Pacquiao is looking better each time out and he has already faced top notch competition against the likes of Marquez, Barrera, De La Hoya, and now Hatton. In every single fight, Manny has improved and looked better. Hope to see a couple more fights from Pacquiao/Roach.
