NFL Final Four Ranking
Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts are the Super Bowl favorites and how can anyone knock a team that still has yet to lose when they have played all of their starters? The Colts are the most experience team left in the playoffs and they are the only one that – as a team – has won a Super Bowl recently.
The Colts are going to be the toughest team to beat.
Super Bowl Line: Colts +115
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are the No. 1 seed in the NFC and considering they have home field advantage, there is a very good chance they represent the conference in the Super Bowl.
The Saints are an offensive juggernaut and that could be a problem for any team they face. They have a shrewd quarterback, plenty of offensive weapons and a very opportunistic defense.
The Saints also have some experience as they lost in the NFC Championship game in 2006. That will come in handing since they are once again deep in the playoffs.
Betting Management Odds: +225
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are fairly happy that Brett Favre opted out of retirement because let’s face it, they wouldn’t be here without Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels. Adrian Peterson hasn’t been running very well lately (no 100-yard rushing games in his last eight) but if he wakes up out of his slumber, the Vikings will have the most balanced offense remaining in the playoffs.
They struggle on the road but with a good ground game, you can win anywhere. Don’t be surprised if the Vikings are the ones holding the trophy at the end of this and then Favre will truly retire permanently.
US Sportsbook Reviews Odds: +465
New York Jets
The New York Jets are the long shot of the group and it’s fairly easy to see why. They have a rookie quarterback and they don’t have a very balanced offense.
Even so, a good running game and a good defense can take you a long way and the Jets have the No. 1 rushing offense and the No. 1 overall defense. That’s worth something and it may be worth a Super Bowl if they can knock off the Colts in the AFC Championship game.
The Jets may be inexperience but behind Rex Ryan, they are one confident bunch.
Super Bowl Betting Odds: Jets +745
Outlook & Pick
Baylor’s a terrific home team, but it has to be said that the Bears – on Jan. 12 – lost on the road at Colorado. The saying normally goes, “You’re not in Kansas anymore.” Actually, the problem for Baylor is that the Bears ARE in Kansas. They wish they could have played the Jayhawks in Waco, not Lawrence. Kansas should roll on Wednesday night.
NFL Picks: Kansas -14.5
