One Lap Around Twitter

A few of us out there are into what the kids are calling social media. While I do not use the Facebook, I do enjoy twitter. In fact, you can find me there by clicking here. But, this Twitter is not just relegated to those of us that follow the sport, because even some of the drivers have gotten involved over the past year (I say the past year, because this time last year, I think three drivers were figuring out how to use the service).
With that in mind, I thought that it could be fun to take a look into the NASCAR Twitterverse, and see what some of our favorite drivers have been up to for the past 24 hours. This will function in the following manner:
You will see the driver's name (with a direct link to his Twitter page) will appear first, followed by what he said on Twitter, which will be immediately followed by my patented witty comments.

So, Brian Vickers is on an episode of My Boys, a cool show on TBS. Hmmmm…I hoped there would be something to make fun of here, but I have nothing. Just glad that My Boys is coming back, and that I get to look forward to a Brian Vickers episode. Cool!

Max Papis - 1 kid u play zone 2 kids is man to man all the way
Max is one of the more prolific Twitterers out there. Not that he drops any huge truth bombs on us, but just the fact that he updates CONSTANTLY (and part of the time, in Italian). But this update just boggled my mind for a minute. I had no clue what the hell he was talking about. It was like trying to trace the timeline of Lost in my head, without putting anything on paper…it never works. Either Max was playing basketball with his kids, or he is giving advice to priests.
Joe Nemechek - Keeping the hauler out west for the Vegas race. Thanks to everyone who signed up on www.frontrowjoe.com. That keeps us going! #nascar
The good news is, Joe knows how to use hashtags. The even better news, is that Joe knows geography. Keeping the hauler out west, as the guys go from California to Nevada is the smart play here. I am glad that someone not only can use Twitter, but he can also use Google Maps.
Jamie McMurray - Spent all day at the shop...just got home and Christy has made Spaghetti for dinner. Getting read to pack my bags for Vegas
Alright, one of the reasons that I thought about doing this is column, is that I stumbled across McMurray’s page the other day. While all of the other drivers have pictures of them looking tough or winning races, McMurray has this:
I mean, what the hell is he looking at over there? The future? Regardless, I hope that his spaghetti was good…because his picture sure sucks.
Kenny Wallace - Good Morning....My Name is Kenny Wallace!..
Kenny wakes up every morning, looks in the mirror, and says this to his reflection with authority. But, if he happens to forget, the phrase is also printed on the elastic band around his underpants.
Juan Pablo Montoya - Been at Oakley this morning. Then went to ultimate hobbies and now heading to affliction!!!

Uh-oh! Too much soap in the washing machine is when hilarity ensues, as my sitcom upbringing has led me to believe. Someone has gotten himself into a bit of a Bobby Brady scenario.
Oh man, how is Regan going to explain this to mom, dad and Alice?!
