NFL 4 Undefeated, 3 Winless
Written by Chriso, Wednesday October 21 2009
As the NFL heads into Week 7, there are still 4 undefeated teams, and 3 teams still looking for their first win.
Every year, as it gets later into the season, if a team remains undefeated, the 1972 Dolphins reunite and root for the undefeated team to lose. It seems the 2008 Lions should plan on getting together and root for some of the teams that have not won to continue to lose. Misery loves company. Here's a look at the winless teams.
1) St. Louis Rams, came close, but lost to Jacksonville 23-20. Next is the Colts.
2) Tennessee Titans, after losing to the Colts 31-9, could it get much worse? Sure, 59-0 to the Patriots. Eddie Chinn writes about the lost Titans. At least they have the bye to find themselves and try to regroup.
3) Kansas City Chiefs, like many other teams searching for their first win, found it by playing the Redskins. Washington has been the first win for the Giants, Lions, and Panthers in addition to the Chiefs. When the Redskins face the Eagles this week, it will be the first time this season the opponent has already won.
4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers, lost to the Panthers. Now they go across the pond to try their luck against the Patriots in London.
Looking further ahead for the final three...
The Titans have a bye, then the Jaguars, then the 49ers.
The Buccaneers have the Patriots, the bye, then the Packers.
The Rams have the Colts, then the Lions, then the bye.
1) New Orleans Saints, came out of the bye and completely handled the Giants right from the start. Bobby McCray writes on the 5-0 Saints.
2) New York Giants, fall off the list, after losing to the Saints.
3) Indianapolis Colts, had the bye week. Playerpress article on the 5-0 Colts.
4) Minnesota Vikings, barely got by the Ravens. Sidney Rice on the 6-0 Vikings.
5) Denver Broncos, have to be taken quite seriously and not just a fluke, they are 6-0 after winning in San Diego on Monday Night.
