Nascar: Circus or Sport?

The world of Nascar is officially a circus. In Atlanta on Sunday Carl Edwards took aggressive driving to a whole different level.

An early race incident with Brad Keselowski that damaged Edwards car had bad blood finally boiling over. Edwards was more than 100 laps down and Keselowski was running in 6th when a normal Nascar race in Atlanta turned in to a joke.

Carl proceeded to turn up into Brad while both were at full speed. Keselowski's # 12 car went flipping and the roof slammed into the outside wall before settling on its wheels down into turn 1 while the # 99 car of Edwards drove away.

I understand rubbing is racing, but the fact of the matter is some one could have been killed. If not the driver, then a fan or a Nascar official.

Edwards was placed on Nascar "probation" which is the biggest joke in the world. If this doesn't sanction rule changes, then what does?

Nascar looks more like a death race than a sport and the sad part is that it seems like the only way that's going to register with the Nascar officials is if someone gets seriously injured or worse, ends up dead.
