NASCAR 2010 Season
Written by sportsfanatic, Tuesday July 06 2010
Ok. So this season of NASCAR has easily been on of the most interesting in the past few years. Yes, Jimmie (no last name needed) is still winning, but he is not at all as dominant as he normally is. Plus, he has a few challengers this year with Denny Hamin, Jeff Gordon and of course the points leader, Kevin Harvick. We have also had seven different winners through the first 18 races this year. In the entire 2008 season we only had 11 different winners. With the "hands-off approach NASCAR has taken this year and the addition of the spoiler, it has been pretty exciting. Every week there are new contenders. For example, A. J. Allmendinger and Scott Speed have looked pretty stout this year. The most interesting storyline this year may be the complete 180 Kevin Harvick's year has taken versus last year. After 18 races this year, he has more points than he did after 28 races last year. He is also 25 points positions better. Kasey Kahne started off silly-season early this year with his announcement to drive for Hendrick Motorsports in the 2012 season. Everyone needs to stay tuned for the second half of this year's season, it can only get better.
