My 1000th Post

But who's counting?
Actually, I really wasn't counting either until I noticed that I was getting close. This will be my 380th post here, and I have 620 as Christopher Corazon on this site. So there you have it, 1000 posts.
I joined Playerpress in May of 2009. I was still living in Boston at the time, and I was searching the web and found Playerpress. I joined right away. In February, 2010, Playerpress invited me to be a featured columnist, and I continue to write as Christopher Corazon.
Along the way, I've had 47 featured articles on this account, and 60 more on the other count, and even more Editor's Picks (those I have not been counting, and it appears neither has the website). During the 2010 baseball season, my fantasy team was the Virginia Beach Bums. We won the Playerpress fantasy baseball league, and followed it up with a championship season in the Playerpress fantasy football league.
I've been happy with most of my work here, but I am really proud of these personal favorites....
There was one time I "called my shot". I don't pick which articles get to be featured, but I wrote "Mr Editor, please make this a feature." It worked, but I was reminded in the editor note not to try it again. So, I tried it again, after 41 features, I wrote about Jackie Robinson and called it feature #42. I'm not sure, but I think it ended up an Editor's Pick.
I left Boston in the summer of 2009, and wrote a four part series called "A farewell to Fenway". But I still keep in touch with what is going on in my native city. Playerpress has a page for different cities, so I am often found on the Boston page. And I love being able to cover a topic like the Red Sox dominating the Yankees! I also wrote an article about how October isThe Most Wonderful time of the Year that was a feature.
More recently, some favorite moments from this summer include hosting a sports show on Richmond radio. I blogged about it in Technology and Sports. And as a Boston guy, it is good to see theBruins on top again.
There it is.... 100 down. Who knows how many to go??
