More good draft news for the Texans-Cheerleaders!
Written by Greg Shelley, Friday May 01 2009
The Texans 2009 Cheerleading Squad was finalized yesterday.

What began with hundreds of eager participants at tryouts, was eventually whittled down to a select 42 semi-finalists. Those 42 were subjected to an online fan vote with only 30 finalists possible, and now voting is over and the results are in. The 2009 Houston Texans Cheerleading Squad is complete. You can see the individual photos of the 30 winners here.

It's interesting, having watched the evolution of cheerleading over the years. It used to be the high school hceerleaders actually led cheers that people knew, while the NFL types just shook their bootys and danced. Now it's the high school kids wearing the micro outfits, while the NFL cheerleaders actually try to get people involved in the game. Weird.
