Melo Too Much Magic For Wizards
Written by Frank Gallo, Saturday January 07 2012
Well, it wasn't pretty but it was a win. Let me stress how it was a much needed win. Had the Knicks lost to the winless Wizards, it would have been ugly. Hats off to Carmelo Anthony (37 Points) for having a great game and literally carrying the team on his back. There were some things that I was very happy to see about last night's victory. The happiest thing I took away from last night's victory was seeing Toney Douglass only played 11 minutes. I was also very happy to see a good night from Mike Bibby (3 of 3 from downtown).
As I've stated before, if the Knicks continue to play the way they are playing, they are going to win most of the games against the bad teams and lose most of their games against the elite teams. It is so important for the Knicks to play good team defense. It is so important for the Knicks to get good play from the back court. Fields and Douglass are not the answer. I am riding this season's future for the Knicks on Baron Davis.
Tongiht the Knicks play Detroit. It is another weak team that the Knicks should beat. It would be nice to get back to .500. Let's see what happens.
