March Madness Betting – Orangemen aim to get back into Tournament

Syracuse update as for where they stand for the NCAA Tourney.
Offshore sportsbooks aren’t giving Syracuse a good chance to win the NCAA Tournament, but the Orangemen would be happy to make it back to the “Big Dance” after two years in the NIT. Online betting players have been watching the Orangemen in the tough Big East, but a tough month has the Orangemen on the bubble.
Sophomore guard Jonny Flynn is the straw that stirs the Orange drink, as he leads the team in points and assists. The Orangemen are an efficient offensive team, as they rank in the national top 20 in terms of field-goal percentage, powered by the junior forward duo of Paul Harris and Arinze Onuaku. Syracuse is also relatively deep, as their top seven players can go at least 15 minutes a game. However, the Orangemen aren’t that big of a team, and the best example of this is Harris. The forward is one of the top rebounders in the Big East, which is a great feat, but he’s only 6’4”.
The Orangemen are a March Madness betting longshot to win the Tournament, but first, they have to make it there. A brutal stretch from January 14th to Valentine’s Day saw Syracuse lose six of nine, and it appears that the Orangemen cannot keep up with the elite of the nation’s best conference. But the Orangemen have a relatively easy closing schedule, and a big run could land them in the middle of the “Big Dance”, and from there, anything can happen. After two straight seasons in the NIT, a March Madness appearance would be welcome among the Syracuse faithful.

They have been fading completely down the stretch. I'm a big Jonny Flynn fan but they just don't have the inside-out game (or consistency with it) to really dominate.

The Syracuse Orange are my second-favorite BEast team after the Cards... I always liked Boeheim's squads, long before UofL was ever part of the BEast. I really do hope they make the big dance this year, but that home loss to Nova wasn't good for their hopes...
