Looking Ahead...
Written by Erin Marie Garrett, Tuesday March 02 2010
With the 2010 season completed, I wanted to go back and touch on a few things.
My team The Dallas Desire, had a near perfect season until the breakdown in Seattle. It was extremely hard on all of us, but in a way we needed to be humbled. It showed us that there are so many things that go into a win, and that we just didn't have those things at that time.
We were still headed to Miami for playoffs, so we held our heads high. I know I wanted to be LFL champions very badly. Some of us were still injured and were fighting thru it.
I spent six days in Florida, doing tons of press/media interviews, and going over plays, and watching film with my team. I did "Radio Row" at Super Bowl headquarters with one of the LA Temptation players one day and it was intense. Floyd Mayweather happened to be there and took photos with us.
I also appeared on FOX News' "Geraldo At Large" with one of the Miami players to promote the bowl. The hard part about most of it was that this was after playoffs in which we played LA, and Miami played Chicago. LA and Chicago came out on top. LA beat us by one touchdown (hard to swallow that loss).
In my mind we had the strongest, fastest and best team in the league, but I guess something happened to us along the way causing the collapse.
Overall, the whole experience of being part of the LFL was overwhelming. I ended up receiving The "MORTAZA AWARD" at the Awards dinner, and couldn't have been more honored. Several of my teammates were also recognized and received awards including "LFL MVP" which went to Gabrielle Marie. I cherish the memories and I look forward to new ones for next season!
You can catch me hosting on Time Warner Cable Sports in the meantime!
I added some shots for you guys... Thanks to everyone for all the support!
Intensity, Adrenaline & Heart,
Erin Marie Garrett aka "CRASH" #2 Dallas Desire

Roll on the 2010/2011 season. I'm confident you will be LFL champions next time out. Are the home games moving away from Quiktrip for next season ?
