LeGarrette Blount

As LaGarrette Blount attempts to apologize to Boise State, his career is over as a collegiate athlete and rightfully so. Blount let his temper get the best of him and its going to cost him big time. In case anyone does not know, Blount was suspended for the season for punching Boise State's Byron Hout after an altercation just moments after Boise State defeated Oregon 19-8 on Thursday September 3rd. A punch that will end his career because he was a Junior College transfer and a senior this year.
Okay so maybe just the punch does not warrant a year suspension but when you go after fans, your own players and anybody else who is in your way then you need to go. I thought Chip Kelly made the right decision. Kelly who coached his first game at Oregon Thursday night set a precedent and took control of his program. There is no need for such nonsence in the college game or even in any game. Just notice how everyone else is controlling their emotions after every game in every sport. There are most who handle it with class and few with poor judgments i.e. LeBron James. But to lose your cool like that is insane and was handled the correct way by suspending him for the season.
As for Blount, who was projected a second round pick in the NFL Draft by many scouts, his career is over and his NFL career may be over before it ever began.
