Jim Thome hits his 600th homerun
Written by Jovan Alford, Sunday August 21 2011
On Monday Night, Jim Thome did a thing that only seven other baseball players have done in their career. Thome hit his 599th homerun in the 6th inning and his 600th homerun in the 7th inning. Jim Thome has been in the majors for 20 years, which consisted of him playing for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago WhiteSox, Phillies, Twins, and Dodgers.
You might say that Jim Thome is "the natural". He is the perfect story of the hardworking homerun hitter that is always working and perfecting his craft. With Thome hitting his 600th homerun, he is guaranteed to be a hall of famer. But the question that will be asked is "Will Sosa be put in, will McGwire go in, and finally will Bonds get in?"
Quick Fact: Barry Bonds hit 762 HRs, Sammy Sosa hit 609 HRs and McGwire hit 583 HRs
