Game Of The Century All Hype

Former LSU Head Coach Nick Saban apparently had a crystal ball to figure that Saturday’s “game of the century” would come down to field goals or it would be a low scoring game. Apparently his crystal ball went on the fritz before it told him how badly the game would because of his kickers or that they needed more practice. It should have told him he needs to recruit better kickers. Combined they missed 3 of 6 kicks and had another one blocked. Had they made all of their fg’s the game would have ended in regulation. Heck it would have been over in the first half.

Alabama controlled the flow of the game. It was a well played game by both teams. It was a great game to watch and lived up to the hype only because Alabama couldn’t put points on the board when they should have. It’s been a while since I’ve seen an all field goal game that was between good football teams. But if not for the three misses in the first half by the Alabama kickers it wouldn’t have been much of a game at all.
