The seventh season of the European Poker Tour was announced last Wednesday. The popular tournament series will kick off on August 11th in a brand new location Tallinn, Estonia.  This will be the first time Tallinn will play host to an EPT event and it surely won’t disappoint, with the large amount of superb poker players in the Baltic and Scandinavian regions EPT’s first stop should prove to be a great start to the season.

This season will consist of 12 stops all over the globe. During Wednesday’s press release, EPT founder and PokerStars sponsored pro John Duthie commented, “The EPT just gets bigger and better every season and it shows the passion and enthusiasm players feel for our events. Season 6 had a thousand more players than in Season 5 and we expect the numbers to keep on growing. The prize pool last season was well over €56 million, a €4 million increase on the previous year.”

Despite being a stop on the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) and Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will yet again be included in this seasons EPT schedule (it is also a stop for the NAPT and LAPT). This popular event will get going on January 8th and run for six days. The $10,300 buy-in Main Event is capped at 1,600 players. Last year’s winner, Harrison Gimbel took the title and $2.2 million after beating out a field of 974 at the Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

Another stop which makes a return is the EPT Snowfest, which made its debut during Season 6. Last year this event attracted a field of 274 players with the winner Allan Baekke taking home 445,000 Euros. This tournament is held at the quaint ski resort of Saalbach-Hinterglemm in Austria, nestled in the Alps.

Season 7 will also return to the Grand Hyatt in Berlin, which is the location where the now-infamous armed robbery in March took place. This time around though I am sure we will see increased security and all safety measures necessary to be placed in effect.

The EPT Grand Final is traditionally held in the Monte Carlo casino in Monaco. For now this is not confirmed for Season 7 Grand Final but PokerStars did say that the details regarding the Grand Final will be released shortly.

Each of the EPT events will of course feature one of a kind service to all of the guests, players will be able to gamble and play other casino games while taking breaks from poker and PokerStars will make sure to accommodate any other needs that you might have.

So get you poker face ready and scratch out the following dates for EPT Season 7.
