Don't Know Nothing About Baseball
Written by Chriso, Monday October 24 2011
In ninth grade Biology, I learned that I don’t know nothing about Biology. My teacher told me that it was like I had a bunch of Frisbees, and was throwing one away every day. I still don’t know what that means. But when I heard the song “Don’t Know Nothing ‘Bout Biology”, I knew I had a theme song.
And who needs Biology? I was more interested in Baseball. Now there’s something I knew something about. Until recently.
If you read my blog, first of all, thank you. Second, you may have noticed some swings and misses recently. In my article "August Ends, No Playoff Races in MLB", I stated that the eight playoff teams were decided. That was August 31. I followed that up with "September Starts With Sox Slide". Before I take too much credit for being ahead of the curve ball, I have to admit that I wrote that Boston's Wild Card lead was "nothing to worry about". Then the Red Sox and Braves completely collapsed. I didn’t see the Cardinals coming, and now they are in the World Series. The Rays also came on strong. For some reason, I believed in them.
So after the Rays won game 1 of the ALDS, I wrote about how the "Rays continue to Roll". They never won again. The Rangers won three straight and now they are in the Series. I turned my attention to the NLCS. I noticed the Brewers had the best home record in MLB. They were 3-0 at home in the NLDS. Surely they could ride the home field advantage to a championship. I wrote about it in "Going Milaukee's Way". I apologize to the fans of the Brewers.
So now it is the Cardinals against the Rangers. I would love to tell you my predictions. But I can’t. I learned that I don’t know nothing about baseball.
