After Lebron James took his one way ticket to Miami, Cleveland was left in what seemed to be an apocalyptic shock as they feared starting a new in a post-Lebron era.  However burning jerseys, disappointed fans and all the owners comments in the world wouldn't change what had been done and instead of dwelling on the past the Cavaliers instead had to pick up the pieces of their superstars departure and move on.

Last night, they unveiled what they hope to be the first of many wins on the hardwood this time without Lebron to make the big plays or to showboat around the court.  Instead it was a gritty game resulting in an 87-72 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

With a lot to prove in spite of James leaving, the Cavs shot 36% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc.  Still there was a lot of room to improve as 20 turnovers offset any victorious stat lines.

Taking it one step at a time Daniel Gibson led the pack with 18 points while J.J. Hickson added 17 on the night to start the ball moving in favor of Cleveland for the first time since last season.  Seven seasons coming to an end with James leaving showed a bright light of potential in the showdown as Cleveland led by as many as 19 in play and Jamario Moon, who literally filled the locker space of James, opened with 10 monster rebounds to lead the team.
