Chicago Teams Compete, Always Fall Short

The problem with Chicago teams is they fall in love with guys past their prime. Adam Dunn...no one really made a push to get him, there is a reason for that.

Jake Peavy, The Padres moved him as soon as he got hurt. He was probably injury prone his whole career it just wasn't reported.

I'm a Cowboys fan. The Bears just picked up 2 former pro bowlers and a back up receiver. There is a reason they were let go. Barber is injury prone, Hurd is a special teamer at best and Roy Williams....is well Roy Williams.

These teams need to develop players. Its a stigma in Chicago Sports that we HAVE to win it all. Its a great mentality to have, but it's un realistic. I do believe in the " go for it" attitude and you should have it every year. You don't compete to loose. But do it with what you have and what you need. Not guys on the wrong side of 30.
