Blackhawks are in Perfect Form to Put Away Vancouver

The Blackhawks went into Vancouver and brought everything they had, winning both games, taking a definate command over the series now being up 3-1. With the Hawks heading back to the United Center for Sunday night's game, all signs point towards the Hawks putting the Canucks out of their misery and taking the series.

Besides the first game of the series, the goaltending battle is being won by Hawks' net-minder, Antti Niemi. He's been rock solid for the Hawks, not perfect, but he doesn't need to be when your team can score seven goals, and make Luongo look like a rookie goalie.

Luongo is, just like last post-season, getting bullied by the Hawks' forwards and power play unit. The power play unit scored four goals out of a total of eight, three coming form captain Jonathan Toews, earing him his first postseason hat-trick, and the first Hawk to score three power play goals in a postseason game.

The Hawks' skaters are doing an amazing job, but don't forget how big of an impact the coaching staff has been throughout this series. Coach Joel Quennville and his crew have done a great job in ensuring that the Sedin twins are virtually excluded from the series. Changing up the lines to ensure this can be a hit or miss policy, but Quennville has executed it perfectly. The twins are nowhere near as a dynamic duo as they were in the first round against the Kings.

The coaches have done a great job in ensuring Luongo doesn't have an easy night when  the Hawks come into town by keeping a player, mostly Big Buff, in front of him, limiting his vision of the puck.

Kudos to the coaching staff. They are usually talked about more for their wrong decisions than their right ones, but they defiantly deserve all the praise for getting these players ready for a chance to move onto the Western Conference finals for the second year in a row.
