Bizzare game Friday in Charlotte as Bobcats bite the Cavs

What more can be said (or not be said) about Antawan Jamison Friday night? In strange fashion, Jamison finished 0-12 shooting on the night, and finished with a mere pair of free throws late. In his 1st game as a Cavalier, he had his shot rejected 5 times by the Bobcats stout interior D, and he also missed everything on a wide open 3 as time expired in the 1st half. The Bobcats ran away with the game in the 2nd half, including a 17-4 run to end the 3rd quarter, and won going away 110-93.

The Bobcats finish the season 3-1 against the Cavs, including 2-0 in Charlotte. Furthermore, this matchup is a possible playoff preview between the 1 and 8 seeds. Enough can't be said about the Bobcats intensity and energy Friday. New additions Tyrus Thomas and Theo Ratliff contributed heavily in their Bobcats debuts, with Thomas contributing 12 boards and 6 blocks, while Ratliff added 5 boards and 2 blocks. The Bobcats defense looked much improved in this one, recording highlight reel blocks and steals all night long. The best of these occurred in the 3rd quarter, when Bobcats PG Raymond Felton poked the ball loose from Lebron and tossed an alley-oop to Bobcats All-Star Gerald Wallace who slammed it down to the delight of the crowd. The 'Cats shot 55 % on the evening, while holding down the powerful Cavs offense to 93 points. Charlotte begins a 4 game road trip Saturday in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, Cleveland drops their second game in two nights, after losing in overtime Thursday at home vs. Denver. Lebron finished with 22 points respectively, but scored most of them late. Lebron's supporting cast was virtually non-existent in the game, with no other Cavalier able to get it going offensively. In the end, too much sloppy play did in the Cavs in this one. On both sides of the ball, there was no cohesion or flow to their game. After two straight losses, all of the sudden Cavs nation has reason to be worried headed into their game Sunday at Orlando.

All in all, considering the way the Bobcats have straight owned Cleveland all year, and the uncharacteristic poor play of Jamison, Friday's game was one of the more bizzare games of the NBA season.
