Sportsbook players are familiar with the “Bedlam” rivalry, and the annual meetings between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State usually get more attention on the football field, but these state rivals will go at it in the first round of the Big 12 basketball tournament in Kansas City.

Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State odds – Wednesday, March 10, 7:00 PM ET

The Sooners (13-17, 4-12) ended the regular season with eight straight losses, falling 69-54 at home against Texas A&M in their finale. Tommy Mason-Griffin hit 16 points, while Ryan Wright and Andrew Fitzgerald scored 10 apiece for the Sooners, who missed leading scorer Willie Warren over the final five games of the season as the sophomore guard needed surgery on his ankle. The Sooners shot a miserable 36.2% from the floor, and they were outrebounded 33-22. They badly missed Blake Griffin, who went to the NBA last season as the No.1 overall pick, but with Warren out, the Sooners could be as good as finished.

The Cowboys (21-9, 9-7) won five of their last seven to end the campaign, pounding Nebraska 74-55 at home. James Anderson lit up the Cornhuskers for 25 points, and the Cowboys hit 10 of their 29 attempts from beyond the arc. Obi Muonelo chipped in 13 points and five boards for the Cowboys, who held Nebraska to 40% from the floor, and they forced 17 Nebraska turnovers. The Cowboys looked to be out of the Big 12 running with a three-game losing skid in midseason, but a strong finish has given them some momentum to head into the postseason with.

US sportsbook odds (US sportsbook review) should favor the Cowboys, even though they’ve lost seven of their last 10 against the Sooners. These state rivals split a pair of meetings this season, with the Cowboys losing 62-57 in overtime at Oklahoma on January 11th, while the Sooners were thrashed 97-76 in Stillwater on February 13th. The Sooners are in deep trouble without Warren, and that has hurt them at both ends of the floor with their confidence. Offensively, outside of Mason-Griffin, the Sooners don’t have much, and then they don’t have anyone on defense who can handle Anderson, one of the most underrated players in the entire country. The Sooners are also worried about the status of Tiny Gallon, their main post presence, as he hurt his ankle in the game against Texas A&M and may be out against the Cowboys, which will be the second time he’s missed playing in the “Bedlam” series this season. If he’s out, then the Cowboys will have free rein in the post and on the glass.
