Andre Miller Must Think He Is Superman: Andre Reaches New Career High

Is Andre Miller superman?
The Portland Trailblazers were on a three game losing slump and Andre Miller was straight tired of it.
The Blazers traveled to Dallas and played some though ball as they fought the Mavs hard in an overtime conclusion. The blazers beat Dallas 114-112 snapping a three game losing streak, which is a prayer come true for Blazer fans.
Did the hurt Blazers really do it? Go into Dallas and beat the Mavs two times in one season? Or did I just make this all up? No, it’s the truth.
Andre Miller was the star of this matchup. He carried this Portland team on his shoulders with 52 points, tied for second most points for an individual in Portland’s history, Andre went 22 for 31 and shot 100% from three point range. Miller had five rebounds, two assists and two steals for Portland.
Not only did Miller play like he was superman, Portland broke a three game losing streak and won their first overtime game this season (1-3). The Blazers finally showed fans that they are not the “Fail Blazers”, but they are surely the Trailblazers.
Andre Miller crushed his previous record of 38 points in a single game; his record is now set at 52. “I felt like I owed something to the team.” Andre Miller said to Mike Barrett at the end of the game.
No doubt after shooting 15% the last two games, Andre did owe something to his teammates, his coach and his fans.
Miller brought hope back to Blazer fans tonight; Portland has won two games in Dallas this year after going on an 11 game losing streak in Dallas the last few years. Blazer fans should feel great right now, Andre Miller and Steve Blake are getting along and the Blazers are playing solid. As long as Portland stays above .500 and clinches a playoff berth, than there is a chance that center Greg Oden will be back for the playoffs.
Once Portland’s all-star Brandon Roy returns in a week or so, the Blazers should be hot and be an elite team in the NBA. Portland still has hope and the season shall be played on.
All Portland fans should remember this one night, the biggest win for Portland this season, as Miller became superman and the Blazers ended their drought.
