And The Winner Is...

 Me.

 I won.  Oh yeah.

After all, it was my idea.  I wrote an article called "Everyone Get In The Pool" suggesting that we have a pool for the NFL season.  And then, thankfully, Playerpress took it over and added a feature in the Community section.  You can go to it by clicking on Community and then going to Picks, or try this link here.

After the early afternoon games, my record is 122-111.  Eddie Chinn had a strong 8-1 start today, but remains in second at 117-116, and we have too many picks in common in the late games to take over first.  So I would like to take this opportunity to claim the prize.

First, I would like to thank Nolan Thomas for running the pool, and his constant e-mails "Get those picks in".  Now my e-mails will be back to the boring ads for Rogaine and Viagra and I will no longer have the friendly reminders "There are Thursday games this week."

Second, thanks to all of the other participants.  And congrats to MCHomer, who went 10-6 in his PowerBet but won the tiebreaker which will be explained in further detail in Nolan Thomas's pick 'im recap once the final game is over.  But the real lesson for me is that gambling just does not pay.  11 games over is not really impressive.  Less than 1 game a week.   I guess I can not retire and become a professional gambler.

But I won.  So I guess I should celebrate that.  I told Kerri Corazon.  She did not congratulate me.  She just asked if there was any money involved.  I'm sure there is some kind of prize coming in the mail.  I am going to start waiting at the door for the mailman right now.

You're Welcome! You don't realize how much work it actually was to do this. I had to enter each persons pick one by one, enter all the odds every week game by game, and then go back and enter all of the scores to each game. and to send out those "get those picks in" emails every week because otherwise most of you would have forget about it...lol. But it was worth it, it was a lot of fun and proof to me as well that I'll never make it as a professional picks gambler...lol.
