Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young was issued a citation after an altercation at a Dallas-area strip club early Sunday morning.

According to surveillance video of the incident, Young threw a punch at a man identified as Creiton Kinchen inside an office at Club Onyx.  Apparently Young was insulted when Kinchen made a derogatory sign referencing the University of Texas, Young's alma mater.  Kinchen sustained a bloody lip in the fight, but did not require medical attention.

The video shows Young having a conversation with the club's manager in a back office at Club Onyx while Kinchen and an unidentified woman sat at a table nearby.  Young was leaving the room after a calm conversation with the club's manager when he and Kinchen appeared to exchange words.  Then Kinchen flashed an upside-down "Hook 'em Horns" sign.

Young took that as an insult and attacked Kinchen.  Bystanders attempted to break up the fight and the lights were briefly turned off before Young was led out of the room.

Here is the video:

"[Kinchen's] comments obviously made Mr. Young upset," Dallas police Lt. Craig Miller said.  "That conversation continues and there was more accusations against the University of Texas which prompted, in this case, Mr. Young to come back into the room where he just about exited."

Young was not at the club when police arrived, but a citation was issued with a fine of up to $500.

Titans spokesman Robbie Bohren said the team was aware of the incident and had contacted Young.  He also said that the team was still gathering information regarding the incident.  Young could not be reach for comment and his attorney, Scotty Allen did not return calls requesting a comment.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said that the league "will look into it."  With the bad publicity involving several NFL players in clubs, such as Adam "Pacman" Jones and more recently Ben Roethlisberger, Young may be looking at a fine or suspension from the league.

Young, who was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 draft just won his starting job back last season after the Titans started the season 0-6.  Young is expected to attend the team's three-day mandatory minicamp on Monday.
