Charger Safety not very Safe

Kevin Ellison got a lesson in why you should always obey the speed limits, especially in school zones. Failure to obey speed limits, especially in school zones, will get you pulled over by police; if you are doing anything else you should not be doing you will end up getting busted for that too.

That was just the case for the 23 year old San Diego Charger safety on Monday. Upon being stopped for speeding, near his old high school of all places, police searched his vehicle. Police uncovered 100 Vicodin pills in the process.
Vicodin is a controlled substance often prescribed to help people control pain, usually severe pain. Ellison does not have a prescription for Vicodin; if he did it would still be a large number of pills to have been distributed to a single person at one time.
Ellison was a sixth round draft pick out of USC. Even though he was a back up player his freshman year he was still selected to the PAC-10 All-Freshman team. As a sophomore he took over the starting safety position; his 64 tackles, interception, and 1 ½ sacks were good enough for him to be named to the Collegefootballnews.com Sophomore All-American second team as well as an All-PAC-10 honorable mention.
During his rookie season with the Chargers Ellison started nine games while playing in thirteen. He made 52 tackles on the season, 43 of them solo.
Police booked Ellison on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance; he was released on $10,000 bail.
