Wizards Win Lottery
Written by Christopher Corazon, Tuesday May 18 2010
Maybe they cast a spell on the ping pong balls. Whatever it took the Wizards won the lottery tonight. The Wizards sent Irene Pollin, the widow of late team owner Abe Pollin to represent the team. It is believed that John Wall will be the first pick.
Philadelphia will draft second. The Nets, who avoided the worst record in NBA history, fell to third in the draft order. This should still get them a good player, and they are still considered a possible contender in the LeBron James sweepstakes.
Minnesota will pick fourth, and Sacramento wraps up the top five. The draft will be held on June 24th on ESPN.
