A slew of UFC fighters are lending their talents to two Impact FC cards slated for Australia on July 10 and 18. Karo Parisyan, Murilo Bustamante, Jeff Monson, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Paulo Filho and Denis Kang have been confirmed by Impact FC promoters.

Monson and Filho are pulling double duty as they will participate in both cards. Monson is scheduled to take on Bira Lima on the 10th and eight days later rumble with UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez. Filho will open on July 10 in Brisbane against Keith Johnson and then travel to Sydney to face UFC and Pride veteran Kang.

The July 10 card in Brisbane will be headlined by the Josh Barnett vs. Geronimo Dos Santos bout and the July 18 Sydney program is topped by Ken Shamrock vs. Pedro Rizzo.

No doubt Parisyan is looking forward to Australia since it will be his first fight since UFC 94. He was suspended following a positive test for painkillers. He will return to action in Brisbane when he squares off against the 10-2 Luis “Besouro” Dutra Jr.

Sokoudjou who escaped from Friday’s ADFC-1 with a DQ win over Dave Herman will face M-1 Challenge star Joaquim “Mamute” Ferreira. Their bout is part of the July 18 Sydney card.

Perhaps the most interesting matchup of the cards will feature Bustamante. The former UFC middleweight champion is ending his two and a half year hiatus from the octagon. Recently he has been seen on UFC television as the coach and translator for Rousimar Palhares. He will return to action on July 18 in Sydney when he faces off against Jesse Taylor who is best known as a participant in the Ultimate Fighter series.
