Bob Baffert changed jockeys and the move paid off as Martin Garcia rode Lookin At Lucky to victory in the 135th Preakness Stakes in Baltimore on Saturday.

After Lookin At Lucky finished a disappointing sixth on a sloppy track as the favorite two weeks ago at the Kentucky Derby, Baffert changed to Garcia for the Preakness.  Garcia kept Lookin At Lucky clear and out of trouble while running mid-pack down the backstretch, behind pace-setting First Dude.  He then made a big move to the outside on the final turn to overtake First Dude for the victory.

Lookin At Lucky ran 1 3/16 miles in 1:55.47, giving Baffert his fifth Preakness victory and tying him with D. Wayne Lukas for second all-time.  It was Baffert's first Triple Crown win since 2002, when War Emblem won at Pimlico.

First Dude held on for second place and Jackson Bend finished third.  Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, ridden by Calvin Borel, was among the leaders for most of the race before fading and finishing eighth in the 12-horse field.

Lookin At Lucky's win means that yet another year will pass without a Triple Crown champion.  The last horse to sweep the Derby, Preakness and Belmont was Affirmed in 1978.
