Milton Bradley Quits During Game
Written by Nolan Thomas, Wednesday May 05 2010
Milton Bradley added another chapter to his bizarre resume on Tuesday night by packing up his belongings and leaving the ballpark during
After a 6th inning KO that was not a particularly good at bat, Bradley was removed from the game. Bradley was swinging at some less-than-quality pitches early in the count, then after a few foul balls watched strike three zoom past him right down the middle of the plate.
Bradley walked back to the dugout and told manager Don Wakamatsu that he was done. Wakamatsu followed Bradley into a tunnel to tell him not to quit on his teammates.
Bradley was about to come back to the dugout, but once he saw Ryan Langerhans playing left field in his place, he turned around and left again. He returned to his locker packed up his stuff and left the ballpark with the game still in progress.
Leaving the park while a game is still going on is a serious violation of every written and unwritten rule in baseball.
It is one thing to throw a batting helmet, or other various equipment after striking out. Every player has done it as baseball is extremely frustrating at times for even the best players.
But to pack up your things and walk out on your team while the game is still going on is just not tolerable.
This is the kind of thing that has driven him off of every team he has played for and the reason that teams are extremely hesitant of wanting him to play for them.
The Cubs learned this last year, but then, according to Bradley, his poor performance with the Cubs last season was not his fault. It was the Cubs and their fans fault.

Another typical Bradley, he is his own biggest fan. He does not have any respect for anyone but himself. As for his position with the Cubs, he didn't pay attention, stood out in field in his own world. The idiot threw a live ball into the stands thinking the inning was over, blamed his batting on the coach and not his lack of focus on the pitches, not to mention he distance himself from his teammates from the beginning. This self-centered attitude will only lead to him being repsponsible for ruining his own career.
