Cowboys pick Sean Lee in Round Two

The Dallas Cowboys chose linebacker Sean Lee from Penn State with the second round pick they acquired in a trade with the Eagles.

The biggest concern with this pick is his knee. Even though he has bounced back from major knee surgery, this will still be a concern for the Cowboys moving forward. They must have though he was OK since they made the pick.

Lee has a good frame and natural strength to take on blockers and is a solid tackle. However, he is not explosive when he does make initial contact.

More than athleticism, Sean has decent range in pursuit and goes all out with great effort, instincts and techniques. He can be effective as a zone pass defender but may be a liability in man to man coverage.

He uses his hands well to shed blockers and works his way thru garbage very well.

Sean is a very productive player that should be a good special team’s player and might even challenge for a starting role with the Cowboys.

I can't believe the Eagles traded with the hated Cowboys again and then let them take my Penn State boy Sean Lee. Argh!!!
