Curt Schilling never met a microphone he didn't like and now he will get paid for it. ESPN has announced that they have hired Shilling as a baseball analyst.

ESPN announced that the former pitcher will appear on their "Baseball Tonight" show and on ESPN Radio. He will also contribute to ESPNBoston.com and the company's main website.

Schilling retired from baseball on March 23, 2009 after 20 seasons. Schilling went to the World Series four times during his career. He led the Phillies pitching staff there in 1993, but lost.  He won the World Series in 2001 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and in 2004 and 2007 with the Boston Red Sox. He is the only pitcher in MLB history to win a World Series game in his 20's, 30's and 40's. Schilling retired with a career postseason record of 11-2, which is a .846 winning percentage. That postseason winning percentage is a MLB record among pitchers with at least 10 decisions.

Schilling will make his debut during ESPN's pregame coverage of the MLB season opener between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees at Fenway Park in Boston on Sunday night.
