Rush quarterback Russ Michna was 18-28 for 261 yards and 6 touchdowns with 1 interception on a pass that should have been caught by his receiver. Samie Parker led the Rush in receiving with 6 receptions for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kenny Higgins also had two TD grabs for the Rush.
The Rush did have a few problems with the center exchange as Michna lost 3 fumbles which helped the Barnstormers stay in the game and keep it as close as it was.
The Rush is the preseason No. 1 favorites in the Arena Football League according to the Writers Association Top 8 Poll.
