The Michael Vick Show might stay in Philadelphia
Because the Philadelphia Eagles are in line to pay Michael Vick $5.25 million this year if he stays in Philly, many fans thought it was unlikely the team would keep a guy who spent the majority of his time on the bench in 2009. However, Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network has reason to believe that the Eagles intend to keep him. The move would leave Philly with three starting-quality QB’s on their roster.

I heard Vick was here in Alameda yesterday. That could very well mean that he may end up in the Silver and Black next year.

Vick would be a perfect fit in Oakland, for sure. When you missed the Pro Bowl, you missed a bunch of half-hits by defensive players and you missed McNabb attempting to throw three interceptions, but unfortunately, only one held up. He and Romo combined to cost the NFC the game. Young did his best to throw the game for the AFC too.

Greg, I still think Vick ends up in Oakland because Al Davis is an idiot, who pays for overrated players. And I didn't even watch the Pro Bowl. Why would I want to watch the 5th, 6th and possibly 33rd best (Vince Young) players at their position play in a game so many of the real stars backed out of.

B-Dub, I'm surprised it took you so long. I figured you would appreciate it, and I do believe you are exactly correct in what you imagine to be behind it. Still, you have to admit that you would be the last one to be surprised to see lunacy come out of that front office. By the way, McNabb looked outstanding in the Pro Bowl too.

Oh this is funny. Who wrote something about the Philadelphia Eagles without consulting me first? Vick is gone whether he is traded or the Eagles simply do not pick up that $5.25 option. Yes, that money is ONLY guaranteed if the Eagles decide to pick up the 2nd option year. Lombardi is only reporting the information the Eagles organization spoon-fed him. Vick's trade value is higher if other teams think the Eagles would actually keep him next year. They won't.
