Jets Fan Arrested for Rooting for his Team

A Jets fan yesterday was arrested after cheering for the Jets during the Jets-Chargers playoff game in San Diego.

What is the world coming too? When was it against the law to root for your favorite team on the road during an NFL game? Well, in San Diego, when the Chargers are losing a playoff game, roosting for your team can get you arrested.

Here is a video of the event that took place.

In watching the video it is obvious that the fan was just showing enthusiasm for the Jets, who beat the home town Chargers in a big upset 17-14.

The video shows the Jets fan chanting “Jets, Jets, Jets” and then the next footage shows him being arrested by at least six police officers.

Yes, after the chanting the footage stops and goes directly to the arrest, making you wonder what actually might have happened in between, but the fact that there are numerous Chargers fans pleading with the police that the guy did not do anything wrong while the police were attempting to hand cuff the man tells you that the arrest was unwarranted.

There is also the fact that that a Chargers fan gave his phone number or other information to the arrestees girlfriend tells me that the fan did not in fact do anything in which to actually be arrested for.

The fact that the CHARGERS fans defended him during the whole fiasco, tells me that he was not being too drunk or doing anything wrong.

Shame on the San Diego police force.

What is next, a gag rule for any fan rooting for the opposing team? Or how about a rule that any fan even wearing the colors of the opposing team not being allowed into the stadium at all?

This is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever seen and makes me wonder just where this country is going in the future.

I can't believe it. Kerri Senno, hardened criminal? What is this world coming to? As for the Jets' fan, he was simply arrested because the police had no idea what he was doing and got confused. The game was on the West Coast and those fans don't care or show any passion. I bet this happened in the 4th quarter when most West Coast "fans" had long since departed the game. Maybe the cops thought he was a terrorits since he was chanting something about "Jets".

Unbelievable...kind of like how I got a ticket the other day for rolling my eyes at a cop.

That is a disturbing video, it shows that this country is becoming a police state and when police abuse their power how we lose liberty....
