3 Stars + 1 team does not = Championship

Lebron, Dwayne and Chris, all great on their previous teams( as leaders) but does that combination translate into a great group and more importantly CHAMPS?
History does not agree with this formula. Sure you have had teams that had multiple stars and were successful like Magic, Kareem and Worthy or the Celtics Big Three but most times it seems to be a hard fit.
Take the 2004 Lakers who were completely dominated and exposed by the Detroit Pistons, it was not for lack of talent but lack of chemistry.
Even look at a trio that was so bad most people don't even remember that they were together (Jason Kidd, Jim Jackson and Jamal Mashburn), although the talent level of these guys are no where near the Miami 3 but the concept was the same.
There is a difference when you have players who's numbers are based on having the ball in their hands for the majority of the game and players who are stars in their roles. That made the difference between the succeseful trios in the past and the trios of today, but egos are a even bigger part.
The team mentality has almost disappeared from all levels of basketball and the superstar era has emerged but championships are still won by Teams and not individuals.
Let's hope this team of individuals can become a team of Champions!
