In our "Football Player Radar" Series we highlight promising players that are flying below the radar.

Dan had a great career as a four-year starter on the offensive line for the New Haven University Chargers. An intelligent, athletic player, he has explosive hands, quick feet, impressive agility, and has the versatility and skill to play on either side of the line.

Q&A with Dan Iannone:

Q: What is the fondest memory of your college career?
I would have to say making the NCAA Division 2 playoffs and defeating West Chester in the first round. They were ranked pretty high and a lot of people counted us out of that game.

Q: What was your best game in college?
That would have to be Senior Day. I feel like I played my best football that day, and everything went right for the team.

Q: What was your favorite NFL team growing up?
Philadelphia Eagles.

Q: Who was your favorite NFL player?
As a kid, I always looked up to Ray Lewis and his relentless mentality on the field.

Q: Which current NFL player most resembles you?
Jason Kelce-- he is a smaller guy and he has great footwork and speed in space.

Q: What would your former teammates say about you?
They would say that I am a dedicated, hard worker on and off the field. I always gave it my best and they could always count on me.

Q: What are you presently doing as far as training?
I am working very hard in the weight room right now. I take my lifting very seriously and I like to think it shows in my game. I train 4-5 times a week with weights and do endurance training as well. On days I don't lift I focus on my speed and agility.

Q: What is your favorite Combine drill?
Bench

Q: What do you need to do to take your football career to the next level?
I just need to continue to work and focus on getting better every day. I think my film shows I have what it takes. Anyone who has seen me workout tells me I have it in me. All I need is my chance to show that I can play at the next level.

Q: What would be your pitch to NFL scouts?
I am one of the most dedicated, hardworking and disciplined individuals out there; a true student of the game. I always give it my best and I get after it on the field no matter what the situation is in the game.

Give me a shot and I'll show you.

Q: What do you want to do besides football?
I am studying Paramedicine and will receive my Bachelors in May. I enjoy being involved with EMS and would probably move back home and work as a paramedic while going back to school to study respiratory therapy.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy working out and training, hanging out with friends and playing video games in my free time.

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
Ray Lewis would be one. I think I would enjoy talking to him and learning about the game. Jason Kelce would be another so I could pick the brain of one of the best in the business. I’d also want to sit down with Doug Pederson. I think he is a great coach and I would try to convince him to add me to the Eagles roster.

Dan is a student of the game with intuitive football instincts and an intense desire to develop and become a better player. His combination of intelligence, talent, heart, athleticism, and his undeniable work ethic will make the team that signs him glad they did.

He is the kind of player that will make his team proud, on and off the field.
