In our "Motorsports Radar" Series we highlight promising athletes that are flying below the radar.

Ryan Stone is a talented racing driver who just graduated from the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving.

Ryan has attained his SCCA Full Competition License Membership #544519 and has experience with multiple street vehicles as well as Formula Mazda. 

Ryan is 21 years old and has had exposure to racing from an early age. Ryan is now dedicated to pursuing a professional racing career and is seeking to compete in the MX-5 Cup Series or the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series.






Q&A with Ryan Stone 

Q: What is the fondest memory or achievement of your athletic career thus far?

Attaining SCCA full competition license from a prestigious school.

Q: Who was the toughest competitor/team/event you faced?

Not really applicable to me at the moment due to me not being in an official race yet.

Q: What was your best game or event?

Bondurant racing school showcased my talent and potential and showed me that I belong in Motorsports

Q: What would your competitors say about you?

They would say I stay calm and composed and patient, I never show my hand or get upset when they get a better lap time due to me knowing my potential to be better.

Q: What would your former teammates say about you?

Hopefully they would say im a hardworking passionate person with a pure heart that brings others up instead of putting them down.

Q: What are you presently doing as far as training for your sport?

Always training learning about the mechanical aspects of racecars and reading books and articles about sponsorship/marketing and successful racing stories as well as going to the gym multiple times a week working on muscular endurance/ core/ and cardio.

Q: What do you need to do to take your athletic career to the next level?

Driving opportunities with and established team/ sponsorship and marketing.

Q: What do you want to do besides playing your sport?

Inspire others to pursue their dreams through hard work and faith regardless of their circumstances at the moment, also inspire others to find God 

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

For fun I still stay with my passion and watch a lot of racing but also working out and reading books as well.

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

1. Would definitely have to be my inspiration on and off the track Mr. Ayrton Senna, a true racer and believer in a lot of things I believe in and to try and get to know what made him truly a special human on and off the track.
2. Jackie Robinson, to learn how to carry on with chasing your dreams regardless of the doubt and hate he received. 
3. David Goggins to truly learn how to be mentally tough and overcome any obstacle in life regardless of the bad circumstances he grew up in.
