Quarter mark review.
With every MLB Opening Day, the Sports Books will put out their odds for teams to win the World Series.
I always like to periodically review those Opening Day odds at specific points of the MLB season. Just to keep tabs on how teams are performing against their Opening Day odds.
According to the Westgate Las Vegas Sports Book on March 27th, they had the Chicago Cubs at the #1 spot at 7-2 odds, Next, they listed the Cleveland Indians at 5-1 odds, Boston Red Sox at 7-1 odds, Los Angeles Dodgers at 8-1 odds and Washington Nationals at 10-1 odds.
The New York Yankees were listed at 30-1 odds. How things have changed in a few months. We are now at the quarter mark of the 2017 MLB season.
According to the Bleacher Report MLB Power Rankings as of May 15th, they have the Houston Astros at the #1 spot, followed by the Washington Nationals, Colorado Rockies, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles rounding off the Top 5 teams.
On Opening Day, the odds makers had the Houston Astros at 10-1 odds, Baltimore Orioles at 40-1 odds and the Colorado Rockies at 50-1 odds.
I’m willing to bet that the people who went long on netbet’s sports betting odds at Opening Day. Are feeling very good at this quarter mark about the Rockies, Orioles and Yankees.
It will be exciting to see how it all turns out. My money is on the New York Yankees.
