Q&A WITH JERIMIAH SIMS

Q: What is the fondest memory of your college career and/or semi-pro?

My fondest memory of my college career is going to a bowl game in New Orleans with the University of Nevada Reno during the 2014-2015 season.

Q: Who was the toughest competitor you faced in college and/or semi-pro?

The toughest competitor I faced was Chuck, a fellow teammate at the University of Nevada Reno.

Q: What was your best game in college or semi-pro football?

I don’t have a best game, as I don’t feel I was given the full opportunity to showcase my abilities.

Q: What was your favorite NFL team growing up?

Pittsburgh Steelers

Q: Who was your favorite player?

I didn’t have a favorite player growing up.

Q: Which current NFL player most resembles you?

I would say Larry Fitzgerald, because he goes out on the field and does what he needs to do, and then quietly goes back to the sideline or right back to lineup for the next play.

Q: What would your former teammates say about you?

They would say that I am a great teammate and competitor who was never given an opportunity to showcase his abilities.

Q: What are you presently doing as far as training?

I trained at Proactive Sports Performance in Southern California for six months. I recently moved to Seattle, and am now training with another NFL hopeful here in Seattle. We do both field and gym work here in Seattle.

Q: What is your favorite combine drill (40, Shuttle, 3-Cone, Bench, Broad, Vert)?

The 3-cone drill is my favorite.

Q: Why do you believe you have been flying below the radar as a football player?

That’s the question I have wanted to know for a while. I can’t say for sure but even when I get the job done my demeanor on the field has always made it look as if I am not trying even though I am, which might contribute to my flying below the radar.

Q: What do you want to do besides football?

I want to be an entrepreneur and start a business of some sort. Whether a sports facilities or a franchise, being an entrepreneur and business owner has always been something that interests me.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

I like to write movies and come up with new movie ideas in my spare time.

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

I would have dinner with my grandma, my great-grandmother from my mom’s side, and my great-grandmother from my father’s side who I was not ever able to meet.
