Hades will freeze over; pigs will fly; the Royals will win the World Series (wait…); not in a million years. All are phrases people have thought are more likely to happen than for Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones to win Executive of the Year.
But ole Jerry is easily the frontrunner for the award right now.
Many of the moves fans have scoffed at are appearing to be genius. Rod Marinelli is doing a stand up job as is Scott Linnehan. Not drafting Johnny Manziel and taking Zach Martin (offensive rookie of the year?) is certainly paying off. Picking up Rolando McClain could be the best move Jones has ever made.
Should the Cowboys make the post season it is going to happen.
However, as nice as that will be for fans in Dallas it also means something kind of scary—fans will never get rid of him.
