Conspiracy theorists of the world unite!

It is not unheard of for a team to do something crazy in an effort to gain a competitive advantage. If you ask some guys there are teams that like to do crazy stuff just to mess with their opponents too.

Ask Tennessee Titans safety Bernard Pollard. He’ll be happy to tell you about the time the Denver Broncos turned the hot water off after a cold December game last season (via ESPN):

“You know the hot water was working before the game, then all of a sudden after the game it’s not working?” Pollard said. “...I’m sorry, but that was a switch that was hit. Just like the Super Bowl [lights], that was a switch that was hit.”

The temperature at the time of kickoff was a chilly 18 degrees so you can see why the lack of hot water angered him. It didn’t help that the Broncos had just finished destroying the Titan 51-28.
