Packers RB Jonathan Franklin Done Before He Really Started
Good luck to you Jonathan!
One of the most exiting running backs in college football back in 2012 was UCLA senior Jonathan Franklin. On 282 carries he gained an impressive 6.1 yards a carry for a season total of 1,734. He definitely had the look of a potential star in the NFL.
However, it appears that we will never find out if that is true.
Franklin, a fourth round pick for the Green Bay Packers last season, was put on injured-reserve after suffering a neck injury and a concussion against Minnesota on Thanksgiving. At the time no one thought the injury could be a career ending one, but that now appears to be the case.
"The group of doctors thought it was in his best interest not play anymore," his agent Kenny Zuckerman said
. "We're going to talk to another group just to give him some peace of mind.”
He carried the ball 19 times for 107 yards and one touchdown.
