For weeks players and media representatives have had one question for NFL commissioner Roger Goodell—when is Indianapolis Colts owner going to be punished?
He was arrested for driving under the influence on March 16, and here it is June and the league has done nothing. The legal system has not done much either, but it has at least done one thing.
The billionaire owners of the Colts has had his license suspended for one calendar year.
Since he refused a blood test after being arrested a one-year suspension is mandatory under Indiana law so while his case has yet to be adjudicated his suspension could still begin (no word yet on if he’s posted an aid in Craigslist for a driver).
Irsay has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of impaired driving, and is due to face them in court on June 19.
